Cue "The Shootout at the OK Corral" music, Fred!
The cowboy enters his sis' winter town.
Searching for a rest from the weary drive down.
The cowboy remembers a few of the residents, t'is true.
They greet him with hellos for days one and two.
The cowboy feels welcome in McAllen, you bet.
But, the sheriff hasn't learned his whereabouts yet.
The cowboy shows up on the 1st tee to play.
He thinks he has a partner for nine today.
The cowboy tees off and hits the first green.
Partner Donna says he's the finest partner she's seen.
The cowboy drives the 2nd hole of nine.
He brings some attention to his prowess on line.
The cowboy's third drive was a little right.
The competition showed some honest delight.
The cowboy drove over the next green by twenty.
Sighs of relief arose from those behind by plenty.
The cowboy and Donna finished ahead by three.
Laughs of "sandbagger" were heard at the 19th tee.
The cowboy was approached by the sheriff right after.
He wondered why there was so many fits of laughter.
The cowboy told him his net score for nine.
One over par was just dumb luck this time.
The cowboy sees the sheriff in town each day.
Thinking, ha ha, the "sandbagger" took an easy 50 cents away!
