Bayou Country

Before I left the "Bayou Country" in Lousiana, I slogged the bayou looking for snakes and other critters (I helped create an ISIS Minicourse with this title) and both were spectacular!!

I saw an bull frog ribbitting!
I saw a kingfisher stabbing a fish!
I saw a heron dipping up to his head in water!
I saw a turtle sunning herself on a log!
I saw a snake weaving its way across the pond!
I saw a dragonfly buzzing by my head!
I saw a woodpecker tapping a tree for insects!
I saw a grebe dipping for algae feasts!
I saw a golden eagle swooping a mouse!
I saw a bass boat sending out a wake!
I felt a breeze on my cheeks!
And, I thought of you!
